elaboration of the games briefly mentioned as examples in the general description of the principles of transaction analysis. These three books have been around for a long time and are worth reading.
The first sentence of the GPP preface persuaded me to review them together.
“This book is primarily designed as a sequel to my book Transactional Analysis in Psychotherapy, but is intended to be read and understood independently.”
In the years between writing them, Dr. Bern gained one or (more likely) valuable experience in
writing with AT. If he hadn’t read the GPP first, he would have found the TAinP much more difficult,
he also recommends reading it in reverse order.
